Stratospheric ozone service The multinational MACC project consists of developing operational atmospheric services for the European Copernicus programme. BIRA-IASB’s chemical weather service contributes to this project by centralising the results obtained in the stratosphere, particularly the thickness of the ozone layer around the globe. In this context, the BIRA-IASB teams use the BASCOE application in near-real time to provide the reference chemical composition. This monitoring is made freely available to the public via http://www.gmes-stratosphere.eu
